How can I become a member of NSBE @ NCSU?
To become a member of our chapter, you have to fill out the membership form.
How can I become eligible to attend regional or annual convention?
To be eligible to travel to conventions with our chapter, you must attend at least 3 GBMs (General Body Meetings), 2 service events, and register as a member on the NSBE website. When that is completed, ensure you have filled out the membership form, and the interest form for the convention. All of these forms can be found under the membership tab.
What kind of events does NSBE have to offer?
Our chapter offers a wide variety of events to enrich our members. Professional development and career opportunities are typical at our GBMs, where we host speakers, allow members a chance to network with companies, and develop interview and career fair skills. Additionally, volunteer events happen bi-weekly where members help to teach engineering to students at the Boys and Girls club. To build community, we host bi-weekly study halls and occasionally collaborate with other clubs for extended events.
When and where are NSBE meetings?
GBMs are every two weeks on Thursdays in Withers Hall, Room 140. For details on other events, check our Instagram or GroupMe.
Who can come to NSBE meetings?
Anyone! Our events focus around engineering but anyone is welcome at our meetings and events.
